Job Description
Position Purpose Develops and maintains programs and scripts to provide applications which meet business requirements. There are two positions available. Essential Functions 1. Creates new and modifies existing application programs, in adherence to company development methodologies. <p>2. Performs ad-hoc queries to provide users with requested data. <p>3. Works primarily with Systems Analysts to clarify and work from appropriate system design specifications. <p>4. Works with users to test and tune software as part of implementation support. <p>5. Provides follow-up and closure to projects as well as on-going support. <p>6. Provides documentation for all developmental efforts. Other Functions 1. Assists with special departmental projects as necessary. <p>2. Performs miscellaneous duties as required. <p>3. Communicates, participates and provides input at local and enterprise levels regarding Information System matters. Qualifications 1. Basic understanding of Software development concepts. <p>2. Basic understanding of system life cycle methodologies. <p>3. Solid ability in one or more programming language. <p>4. Demonstrates sound, logical thought processes when applying user requirements to programming tasks. <p>5. Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks. <p>6. Communicates and interacts well with others and has good written skills for generating documentation. <p>7. Exhibits a service oriented mentality. <p>8. Self-starting individual that can work in an accelerated development environment. Able to quickly adapt and pick up new technologies. <p>9. Required experience with Oracle PL/SQL and programming in C#. <p>10. Experience with Flex programming background would be considered as well. Education/Training Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, or one to two years in a Development environment. Experience 1. 1-3 years experience with writing, testing and debugging programs. <p>2. Experience in a large manufacturing environment preferred. Contact Kim Homolka |
