We are currently seeking a Full-Time Temporary Mortgage Processor for our Rockford office. Responsibilities will include, Initiate, track and collect the proper documentation necessary for the mortgage loan process. Assure that all the necessary components of a mortgage loan file are secured. Organize and maintain a mortgage “pipeline” that assures pending mortgage documents are addressed in a proper and timely manner. Assemble and submit underwriting and closing packages as needed. Support the efforts of the mortgage loan team with activities and projects as assigned. Problem solving, including working with loan officers, clients, underwriters, closers to clear conditions or determine proper program. Work with conforming and nonconforming, including sub prime, loans; know guidelines and work with Loan Officer and or Area Rep to approve or deny a loan in an expeditious manner.
Knowledge of mortgage functions and guidelines desirable. Microsoft word and Calyx Point. One to two years of CU or banking experience. Must have strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Must be “people oriented.” Exceptional communication skills required, as well as ability to work with people in order to expedite many different facets of the loan process from obtaining documentation, to working with underwriters, account reps and closers
